Arnþrúður Dögg Sigurðardóttir
Producer | addu@skot.isArnþrúður Dögg Sigurðardóttir is always called Addú. When her grandmother asked here what she wanted to be when she would grow up then the answer was: a poisonous snake. Addú’s career is many-sided and she has done many things, anything from being a pump attendant to being a stuntman and event planner. Yet she has mainly worked in the advertising business, for TV shows and movies for the last 18 years. Addú is rather cheerful and in high spirits, tries to avoid boring people and therefore she is working for Skot. She finds peace and good times in The Westfjords where she repairs old, beautiful things and does all kinds of everything.
Eiður Birgisson
Producer | eidur@skot.isEiður Birgisson has been in this branch for almost 25 years and is highly experienced. He is a popular man, both in work and play, a great team worker and has still not been seen being grouchy. Eiður has quite many specialities but it all began with location scout. When doing that Eiður did a lot and did it very well. Since then he has produced endless TV shows and movies, such as Verbúðin, New Year’s Comedy, Trapped, The Oath, Stella Blómkvist 2, Vultures, Skjálfti and other projects and has also tons of experience in producing ads. Eiður does not stop there, he has also directed a lot of projects, not the least music videos, but his latest work is an exciting TV series on extreme sports, Alex from Iceland, that received an Edda Award nomination this spring. Eiður also ran 800 bar. Not 800 bars.
Gunnar Páll Ólafsson
Owner, Director, Executive Producer | gunnar@skot.isGunnar Páll Ólafsson is one half the prolific and highly decorated directors duo Samuel&Gunnar and is also on one of the owners of Skot. Gunnar is an easy going fellow and a solid guy, likes good stories, fun and good wine. Samúel says that Gunnar is not the most punctual man in this branch, on the other hand, no one else in the world has a keener eye and ear for timing. Gunnar and Samúel have worked together for 25 years og according to Gunnar they have just begun.
Hlynur Sigurðsson
Owner, Executive Producer | hlynur@skot.isHlynur Sigurðsson is from Hafnarfjordur and is the most gray-haired man of Skot. He is a man of action and therefore he is the manager of Skot, in addition to being one of company’s owners. He has been involved with TV since the beginning of this century and everything on the screen matters to him and he was also a great pioneer of online TV when it was about to begin. Furthermore, he is highly educated, with a MBA degree from Copenhagen Business School and firmly manages the financial matters of Skot. Many times it’s been a blessing for the company. He is a good golfer and always drinks beer when it it is being offered.
Inga Lind Karlsdóttir
Owner, Executive Producer | ingalind@skot.isThe real name of Inga Lind Karlsdóttir is Ingibjörg, but almost nobody knows that and it doesn’t matter anyway. She has worked in media all her life, most of the time in TV as a TV journalist and TV show host. Inga Lind has been involved in documentary work, all kinds of broadcasting programming, reality shows, home shows and all kinds of shows, as everything matters to her when it comes to entertainment, enlightennt, joyous matters and stories. Inga Lind puts emphasis on using the language accurately, eating good food and being happy.
Kristín Andrea Þórðardóttir
Executive Producer, Producer | kristinandrea@skot.isKristín Andrea Þórðardóttir is a producer and has been busy in the movie business for almost 20 years, working on quite many excellent films. Our objective assessment of Kristín Andrea is that she can do anything. She lived in Denmark at the beginning of this century, studied international business and finished a masters degree in marketing, relations and management. Right now she is delving into the devolopment of documentary projects but when she finds time she preferably climbs to the top of a mountain. Kristín Andrea is also one of the ringleaders of Skjaldborg, the festival of Icelandic documentaries. She directed and produced the documentary “Er ást” which received awards and well deserved praise.
Samúel Bjarki Pétursson
Owner, Director, Executive Producer | samuel@skot.isSamúel Bjarki Pétursson is the youngest of many brothers and the father of many daughters, one woman kinda guy. As previously stated, he is the other half of the advertising directors duo Samuel&Gunnar and one of the owners of Skot. Samúel is a stout fellow who takes good care of his health but is also a man of joy. He and Gunnar have done many things together and directed several hundred ads during their successful career and have received well deserved praise for it. Samúel likes to keep everything well organised and always does that successfully.
